How do I get my theatre posters / band posters / concert posters to stand out? Be Bold! Bright colors, captivating photographs, and keep the text to a minimum. However, don’t forget to include the date(s) and venue information!
Are you going to hang your posters up in windows? If yes, consider printing double sided with the same image on both sides. The additional cost is marginal and you’ve doubled your potential impressions.
Should I print my posters on a heavy stock? No, its true that a heavy card stock looks great and screams quality but a thinner stock (text weight) is far cheaper and still does the job. Remember, a poster is a valuable tool either promotionally or informationally. You’re better off with more posters on a thinner stock than a few posters on a heavy stock.
What is the most popular poster size for an event? 11 x 17 is by far the most popular and we highly recommend a vertical design. A vertical designed 11 x 17 poster will fit the best in most posting applications.
