At Printworks, booklets can be printed in a number of formats and sizes, as well as finished with a wide variety of bindings. They often include a small number of pages and are seen most often in settings where large amounts of information need to be conveyed such as theatre programs, business conference programs, and church bulletins.
Booklet printing also includes stand alone content pieces like photo albums, children’s books, and business guides. There are a number of options for covers, “self cover” booklet printing is the most economical, and uses the same paper for the cover as the rest of the booklet. “Plus cover” or “separate cover” booklet printing refers to using a heavier, more durable paper stock for the cover than the rest of the pages in a booklet. Whatever you need quick and quality booklets for, Printworks has you covered!
Booklets serve as an invaluable tool for those looking to communicate information effectively and professionally. Whether you're promoting a new product, presenting an event program, or sharing important details about your services, a well-designed booklet can elevate your message and engage your audience. Available in various formats, such as the popular 8.5x11 booklet and the compact 5.5X8.5 booklet, these printed materials can be customized to fit your specific needs. Utilizing saddle stitch binding ensures durability and an appealing presentation, making them ideal for gala programs, brochures, and small booklets that leave a lasting impression.
By incorporating booklets into your marketing strategy, you can effectively communicate your message while leaving a memorable impression on your audience.
Adobe InDesign is the ideal application to prepare your booklet layout, but it’s pretty dense and there is a learning curve. For a simpler tool, check out Canva. Canva has a simpler interface and even has a number of great templates to get you started.
The best way to submit your artwork for booklet printing is saving each individual page as a PDF making sure to clearly label each page with a page number. We can take it from there!
We have found that 28 pages is about the maximum when finishing the booklet with saddle-stitching. Any more than 28 pages and the booklet becomes difficult to fold closed.
