Pro Tips For Your Booklet Printing!

Adobe InDesign is the ideal application to prepare your booklet layout, but it’s pretty dense and there is a learning curve. For a simpler tool, check out Canva. Canva has a simpler interface and even has a number of great templates to get you started.

The best way to submit your artwork for booklet printing is saving each individual page as a PDF making sure to clearly label each page with a page number. We can take it from there!

We have found that 28 pages is about the maximum when finishing the booklet with saddle-stitching. Any more than 28 pages and the booklet becomes difficult to fold closed.

We started Printworks in 2009 to provide Chicago’s arts community with fast, affordable printing. As arts promoters ourselves, we weren’t satisfied with the level of service and support small to mid level organizations were receiving from large scale and online print companies. We created Printworks to fill this gap, serving each of our customers, regardless of size, with the same level of care throughout the complicated process of professional printing.
